Overview
As a Middleware Engineer specializing in HubSpot AI integrations, you'll be at the forefront of building intelligent connectors that bridge HubSpot with AI platforms, ERPs, and custom applications. You'll develop the technical backbone that powers our AI-enhanced HubSpot implementations, creating smart automation solutions that help businesses scale intelligently.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Powered Integrations: Develop middleware solutions connecting HubSpot with AI platforms (OpenAI, Claude API, custom ML models) for intelligent lead scoring, content generation, and predictive analytics
HubSpot API Mastery: Build advanced custom integrations using HubSpot's APIs, webhooks, and Operations Hub to create sophisticated automation workflows
Smart Data Pipelines: Design intelligent ETL processes that leverage AI for data enrichment, cleansing, and transformation between HubSpot and client systems
Custom AI Applications: Develop HubSpot custom cards, workflow actions, and ChatSpot extensions that incorporate AI capabilities
Integration Architecture: Design scalable middleware architectures for complex HubSpot implementations involving multiple data sources and AI services
AI Workflow Automation: Create intelligent automation solutions that use AI to optimize sales processes, marketing campaigns, and customer service workflows
Performance & Reliability: Ensure high-performance, fault-tolerant integrations that handle real-time data processing at scale
Innovation Leadership: Research and implement cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance our HubSpot consulting offerings
What we expect of you
3+ years of experience in middleware development with focus on CRM/Marketing Automation platforms
Strong expertise in HubSpot API ecosystem (CRM API, Marketing API, Custom Objects, Operations Hub)
Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or TypeScript for building production-grade integrations
Experience integrating AI/ML services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI, or similar) with business applications
Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures
Experience with HubSpot's serverless functions and custom code actions
Knowledge of data streaming and real-time processing technologies
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to design complex integration solutions
Proficiency in English or portuguese or spanish is mandatory
Preferred:
HubSpot Developer Certification or Solutions Architecture Certification
Experience with HubSpot's Serveless Development Funtions
Webservice or Odata integration
Background in implementing conversational AI and chatbots within HubSpot
Experience with iPaaS platforms (Make, Skyvia, Workato) for rapid prototyping
Understanding of GDPR and data privacy in AI/CRM contexts
